This pocket-sized Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 (DMC-TZ30) compact camera boasts a 20x optical zoom from ultra wide-angle to telephoto, and recording capability of photo and video. The POWER O.I.S. gives you clear, crisp, blur-less zoom shots. DMC-ZS20 (TZ30) also integrates an enhanced built-in GPS functionality, making it easy for users to pinpoint locations where photos were taken and share with family and friends on internet maps.

Lumix DMC-ZS20 (DMC-TZ30)'s powerful 20x (24-480mm) optical zoom LEICA DC lens from 24mm ultra wide-angle, featuring Nano Surface Coating technology that minimizes ghosts and flaring. It draws your subjects right up close, and lets you freely capture decisive sports scenes, along with the natural expressions of people and animals, and details that you can't even see with your bare eyes. The 20x optical zoom increases its power to 40x equivalent with the Intelligent Zoom. This is an extensive zoom function using digital zoom with minimum deterioration of image quality thanks to the Intelligent Resolution technology.

Inside camera, the 14.1-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor is newly developed for the DMC-ZS20 (DMC-TZ30) for even higher image quality. The excellent S/N ratio of MOS sensor and the Intelligent Noise Reduction system in the Venus Engine makes both photos and videos shot at any sensitivity level from low to high with outstanding clearness.

This powerful MOS sensor lets the DMC-ZS20 (DMC-TZ30) shoot 10 fps in 14-megapixel full resolution with mechanical shutter. You can take a series of shots, then choose the ones you like the best and delete the rest.

The DMC-ZS20 (DMC-TZ30) also boasts approx. 0.1 sec Light Speed AF that helps catching even the most fleeting photo opportunities. You can quickly focus on moving subjects, such as when you're shooting sports scenes or animals.

The POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) suppresses the low-frequency vibration hand-shake component, which is physically generated when pressing the shutter button or when shooting at night with a slow shutter speed. You get bright photos without blurring even from handheld shooting at slow shutter speeds. The Active Mode effectively suppresses blur in video recording especially at wide-angle while walking or playing with children.

The DMC-ZS20 (TZ30) can record high-resolution full HD 1,920 x 1,080 60p (NTSC) / 50p (PAL) videos in AVCHD Progressive (MPEG-4 / H.264) format. Upgrading the full HD recording capability from interlaced to progressive, subjects with fast motion or fine details are reproduced even more clearly. The ZS20(TZ30) can also record full HD videos in MP4 format that has high compatibility with computers. Videos come with the high-quality sound system of Dolby Digital Stereo Creator, zoom noise reduction system and Auto Wind Cut function.

DMC-ZS20 (DMC-TZ30) features built-in GPS function, you can copy the map data of designated city to a Memory Card from the bundled map DVD which comprehends detailed map of approx. 90 countries worldwide on a scale of 1/25,000 or more precise. The geo-tagged images are automatically sorted and they can be played back along the map so that you can trace the memory of travelling along their footprints by scrolling the map in the camera. Camera's GPS function displays not only latitudes and longitudes, but also the name of the Country/Region, State/Prov./County, County/Township, City/Town/Village and Landmark.

DMC-ZS20 (DMC-TZ30) equipped with a large 3.0-inch 460,000-dot Smart Touch LCD allows Touch AF, Touch Zoom or Touch Shutter during recording and various playback functions even for scrolling the map with high visibility.

ZS20 (TZ30) features iA (Intelligent Auto) mode lets users leave everything to the camera to take beautiful images with its new HDR (High Dynamic Range) together with POWER O.I.S. with Active Mode, AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control, Face Recognition, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Handheld Nightshot, Motion Deblur mode, Intelligent Burst mode and Intelligent Exposure. Once you enter the iA mode, these multi-capable functions happen automatically, so that you can shoot without the bother of adjusting settings every time conditions change.

A variety of special effects that add fun to shooting experience are integrated in DMC-ZS20 (DMC-TZ30), you can add different effects by applying one of the filters both in the recording mode (Creative Control) and the playback mode (Creative Retouch).
