Disable GPS function in Sony DSC-HX100V:
MENU -> Settings -> Main Settings -> GPS setting -> (change to "Off")
Use some photo editing software can remove the GPS info which store in picture's EXIF data. Or, you can try this online EXIF remover to clean all photo's EXIF tag including GPS data: http://www.verexif.com/en/

Press HX100V's jog dial to select the ISO sensitivity, then turn jog dial to select the ISO value.

Under the shooting mode, press "MENU" button -> "Settings" -> "Shooting Settings" -> "Write Date" -> (change to "On")
can any one plzz hlp ..i brought this camera yesterday..while changing the mode esp to 3d and panaorma.there this sound coming frm the camera which is jst for a sec..is it faulty one..or is it jst normal?
I think the sound maybe come from HX100V camera's built-in ND filter moving into position or out of the way.
This built-in ND filter default setting is "Auto" (you can change setting on "MENU" -> "Internal ND filte"), it will switches On/Off automatically at P / S / A / M modes. When you turn to 3D or Panorama mode, the ND filter will move out that cause a sound, I guess.

Thank you so much for you reply !! Im surely gonna try dat!!! Yeah!! I noticed one new thing that the sound comes when i change to video mode..then it continues followed by other two modes...so it orginates frm video mode!!hope u will find a solution !! Im really worried as it a brand new camera!!
I think this maybe "the sound of the camera iris adjusting the amount of light received, in response to subject brightness."

You can use "Program Auto (P)", "Shutter Speed Priority (S)", "Aperture Priority (A)" or "Manual Exposure (M)" mode instead of "Intelligent Auto / Superior Auto". On P/S/A/M modes, you be able to change the "Color Mode", "Color Saturation" or "Contrast" settings to make pictures more vivid or keep the colour natural.

Ik heb een Sony Cyber-shot DSX-HX 100V, hoe kan ik films bewerken ( opgenomen in AVC HD AM (FH) ) knippen, plakken, stukken uithalen enz . Heb het al geprobeerd met Windows Live movie maker maar kan de film niet openen. Mijn computer is een TOSHIBA (64 bit ) en de CD die ik heb ondersteund de 64 bit editie en starters editie niet . Please adjust the "Finder adjustment dial" (on the left side of Viewfinder) to your eyesight to get the most clean view.
Hi I bought this camera a will ago and have been getting some trouble with the sound when recording in MP4 or HD format.
I thought this was my class 4 card at first so bought a class 10 card instead but still having the same problems.
The sound plays on the camera itself but not on my laptop or on my TV.
Any ideas would be helpful!

No I havent tried using a HDMI cable I don't have the one that is made for it.
Just windows media player but I will try VLC instead tonight because the CODECs on windows are pretty rubbidh thanks for that thought. I'll let you know how I get on!

I just bought this camera and i absolutely love it but I have one question, how do you change scenes when on scene mode? I know you have to use the dial to get there but if you are taking a picture and want to change to a different scene is there a shortcut button or a shortcut through the menu to change the scene, or do you just have to move the dial to another setting and then back to scene selection?
Any tips or advice is much needed! Thanks!
Set the "Mode Dial" to "SCN" (Scene Selection), then use the "Control Button" to select the desired scene.

My daughter has this camera and has lost the usb connection cord. We recorded a wedding with the camera, thinking we could get the movie off of the memory card, but it isn't working. Do I need the camera attached to my computer to record the movie to a dvd? I can't find any specific instructions on this. The bride is about to go nuts!

You can install Sony's PMB (Picture Motion Browser) software on computer, then connect the HX100v camera to computer to download the photos / movies and burn DVD.

Ik had vorige week iemand van ,,STUDENT AAN HUIS ,, om de PC op te schonen,ik vroeg hem een van mijn 2 fotoprogramma,s er uit te halen . Van daag wou ik enige foto,s van de Cyber-shot DSC-HX100V op dit geinstalleerde programma zetten ,maar toen ik het programma wilde openen gebeurde er niets . Er kwam geen schermpje op .Kan het zijn dat hij alle twee programma,s er afgehaald heeft.? Kan ik gewoon weer met de software [ schijfje ] opnieuw installeren ?
Graag advies .
