This ultra-thin Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V / DSC-TX200 is a waterproof camera features a 18.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and an improved BIONZ image processor that together boost low light performance and enhance auto-focus speeds, among other benefits. It also offers fast, DSLR-like focusing speeds, even in low light. The DSC-TX200V model is GPS-equipped.
The sleek and stylish Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V / DSC-TX200 features a sleek, polished glass camera front without protruding lenses or control buttons. And scenes can be composed or played back on a large, 3.3-inch (1,229K dots) Xtra Fine TruBlack OLED wide touch-screen. It is also water-proof to a depth of 5m (16 feet), dust-proof and freeze-proof up to 14°F.
The 18.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor captures ultra-high definition images that take full advantage of the camera's sharp Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens. The sensor enables advanced processing that reduces noise levels up to 6 times more than other sensors, resulting in stunning low light images with incredible details.
To improve focusing speed and sensitivity, the Exmor R CMOS sensor uses its rapid 240fps throughput to deliver high-quality image signals to the camera's BIONZ processor. It offers lightning-fast AF speeds of approximately 0.13 seconds in daytime and 0.25 seconds in low-light situations.
DSC-TX200V / DSC-TX200 can shoot crystal clear video in Full HD 1080p resolution at 60fps. This provides stunning, fast motion video with less distortion for playback on HDTV. It can also grab 13.5MP stills while shooting video.
Optical SteadyShot with Active Mode for blur-free movies even while walking. Camera-shake compensation using Optical SteadyShot/Active Mode has been improved with the addition of new electronic image stabilization. Camera's Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode automatically detects 36 different types of scenes and, within just 1/30th of a second, selects the appropriate camera setting.
DSC-TX200V also built-in GPS and compass to record location data as you shoot videos and photos. GPS Log lets users track a photographic journey and later view the path and images on a map. Map View in "PlayMemories Home" software, allows users to view images on a map showing where they were taken. The logged path and images can also be displayed on Google Earth.
