very good camera
I have this DSC- WX7 Sony digital camera,
when i was charging, the power suddenly off itself with the lense still open, now
i cannot on or off, no power at all and the lens cannot close and is still open.
How can i solve this?
Maybe camera's power supply circuit damaged, I suggest you contact Sony's support or local camera repair shop.
I know it's been a while since this message but, for people who may have the same issue... that happened to me last night. I got the battery out, then put it in again and then the on/off button worked.

Videos taken on the camera have not been downloaded when I have copied from my camera to the computer. The instruction manual I found on line does not give any information on downloading from camera to computer. can you please advise.
You can use sony's PMB (picture motion broswer) software (install in computer) to download the videos or images, the operation guide is here: http://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/disoft/int/pmb/feature/import/import_image.html
or, you can a card reader to copy the videos or images directly.
I bought my sony dsc wx7 from my friend which is default in japanese language. I was wondering if it support languages selection on settings. And if not, was there any other way to make it on english?
please check the camera menu, if the language setting only Japanese, you can not change to another language, because this is Japanese local version, only Japanese menu.

If you recording video with AVCHD format, the video file located in:
Use Memory Stick: /AVCHD/BDMV/STREAM/00000.MTS
Use SD card: /PRIVATE/AVCHD/BDMV/STREAM/00000.MTS
If shooting MP4 format video, the files located in:
/MP_ROOT/100ANV01/MAHA0001.MP4
please help me..how to take a good picture in day light and night and in which mode the picture will be perfect using sony dsc wx7.Whenever I'm taking picture with sony dsc wx7 the noise appear in the image and the picture quality become very poor(like water color).not only this, whenever i want to zoom any picture taken by sony dsc wx7,the picture become heazy.So please suggest me how to take a good quality picture with sony dsc wx7 and which option should i use at the time of takeing snaps.Waiting for your reply..

Unfortunately, Sony camera sells in Japan market only Japanese menu, so you can not change the language to English.
