Fujifilm X-E1 is a premium mirrorless interchangeable lens camera boasts a 16 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor, 2.36M-dots OLED EVF and built-in flash. Featuring the FUJIFILM X-mount, the X-E1 is compatible with the Fujinon XF lenses. Other highlights include High-speed Auto Focus, ISO100-25600, In-camera RAW converter, Film Simulation modes, Powerful Auto Bracketing Functions and 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities.
Behind the compact body of X-E1, it sport a large APS-C, 16 Megapixel X-Trans CMOS sensor. This high-performance sensor offering exceptional color rendition and image resolution. Its unique color filter array can effectively minimize moiré and false colors without the need for an optical low pass filter. This makes it possible for the camera to maximize its advanced resolution capture, and to record each photograph brightly and clearly across the whole image. This unique color filter arrangement is also very effective at noise separation in high sensitivity photography producing low-noise images even at high ISOs.
The X-E1 features the fast, high-precision "EXR Processor Pro" for quick responses whatever you're shooting. The EXR Processor Pro receives image signals from the complex X-Trans CMOS Sensor and processes the information swiftly ensuring you can move on to your next shot without delay.
The X-E1 can autofocus in as little as 0.1 seconds and continuous high-speed shooting of up to 6 frames per second will allow you to capture fast-moving subjects. It achieves quick response compatible with DSLR cameras thereby enabling you to never miss a shot.
The X-E1 equipped with a high-definition and high-luminance 2.36M-dots OLED electronic viewfinder (EFV). The EFV on the X-E1 has a unique lens structure consisting of two glass elements and one double aspherical element, which in conjunction with the OLED offers an incredibly high quality display. The rich color expression of OLED technology and high contrast ratio of 1:5000 reflect exposure, white balance and film simulation settings with high fidelity, letting you confirm changes in real time. This natural, bright electronic viewfinder offers a horizontal field of view of 25-degrees, allowing users to scan the entire scene quickly and easily.
Specifically designed to take advantage of the camera's mirrorless design, the X-Mount has a short flange back distance of just 17.7mm made possible by designing the mount ring as thin as 2.5mm. This means the rear lens elements are as close as possible to the sensor, reducing the back focus distance of each lens to the minimum possible, thus achieving high resolution from edge to edge. When fitted with a FUJIFILM M Mount Adapter, the X-E1 can use a wide variety of M lenses to broaden the scope of your photography.
The X-E1 exudes a class and quality that can be seen from each of its components. The top and front covers are made from die-cast magnesium for a rigid, yet delicate design.
X-E1 employs numbered dials for aperture, shutter speed and exposure compensation and is equipped with a viewfinder that allows you to select your composition. Its designed to enable you to "quickly" capture that moment you wish to document.
Settings can be checked even when the camera is off. High precision parts provide just the right amount of torque and resistance when clicking the dials thereby allowing you to get suitable response when photographing.
Users can turn the aperture ring on the lens with their left hand, and operate the dials for shutter speed and exposure compensation on the top panel with their right hand, for quick setting changes without having to take their eye off the viewfinder. Functions frequently used during shooting can be assigned to the Fn (Function) button for extra efficiency. Being able to change settings in an instant means you won't miss that "perfect shot".
Just like choosing the perfect film to match your creative direction, the X-E1 offers Fujifilm's creative "Film Simulation Modes" to simulate the distinctive color palates of conventional photo film. The Film Simulation Bracketing function uses a single exposure to produce three images with Film Simulation effects applied.
In addition, advanced digital processing in the X-E1 enables multiple exposures, giving photographers the ability to take two shots while visually checking the finished image, either in the EFV or LCD screen.
The X-E1 can also shooting 1920x1080 / 24fps Full-HD movies with stereo sound. In addition, you can now use Monochrome or Film Simulation modes when video recording and even take advantage of the X-E1's large sensor and bright XF lenses to capture movies with beautiful bokeh effect. Connect a microphone with a 2.5mm jack to the Microphone/remote release connector and record audio with enhanced clarity and presence. The X-E1 allows users to take videos without having to worry about the camera body's operation noise or lenses' motor sound being captured.
