This small, lightweight Nikon D5200 DSLR featuring a 24.1 MP DX-format APS CMOS sensor captures high-definition images and Full-HD movies with fine details. The D5200 employs a newly developed 24.1-megapixels DX-format CMOS sensor captures clear and sharp images with very little noise, even at higher sensitivities.The 24.1 MP high pixel means you can enlarge, zoom in and crop your photos without losing any detail, and big prints of your photographs look superb.

This new sensor also supports a broad range sensitivities from ISO 100 to ISO 6,400 and extendable to 25,600 that delivers brilliant shots with reduced image blur even in dark or poorly lit situations or sports scenes.

The D5200 is equipped with the high-performance EXPEED 3 image-processing engine that offers high-speed operation, superior resolution and image quality with very little noise at high sensitivities.

The D5200 incorporates the advanced Multi-CAM 4800DX 39-point AF system and nine cross-type sensors delivers razor sharp images by focusing precisely on the subject you choose. Meanwhile, the 2,016-pixel RGB metering sensor with the built-in Scene Recognition System, which optimizes exposure, autofocus and white balance immediately before the shutter is released.

The D5200 realizes high-speed continuous shooting up to 5 fps, which is optimal for capturing natural facial expressions, so you do not miss that fast-moving action shot.

Nikon D5200 comes with a 3-inch 921k-dots, 170° wide viewing angle, movable vari-angle  LCD monitor provides the ultimate freedom and flexibility to take beautiful shots and movies from virtually any position. You can flip, tilt or turn the swivel monitor to get really creative with your angles.

The D5200 allows you to record sharp and clear 1920 x 1080 60i/50i movies is now just a button press away. The camera's subject tracking of moving objects in three dimensions, with full time servo AF (AF-F), ensures focus of moving objects throughout filming. You can also manually1 set shutter speed and ISO sensitivity according to their own preferences. Adding to that, the D5200 also employs a variety of movie-editing features that can be accomplished easily inside the camera and without the need for a computer.

In addition, in-camera High Dynamic Range (HDR) and D-lighting retain the details in both dark and bright areas when you shoot images in strong light, or in backlit situations, increasing creative possibilities. You can also select from 16 different Scene modes - they optimize the settings like shutter speed, ISO and aperture - to the situation you are shooting. It is ideal if you want to quickly capture perfect shots or if you are still learning about DSLR photography.

The D5200 incorporates an easier and more fluid new GUI, you can choose from two options - Classic or Graphic. Background color can be selected from black, blue and brown. A new design is also employed for each setting display.

By connecting the optional Wireless Mobile Adapter WU-1a to the D5200, share images directly from the D5200 to a smartphone or tablet that runs on Android or iOS. With the remote shooting function, the live view can be displayed on a smart device's screen, you can capture an image remotely.

The optional WR-R10 and WR-T10 wireless remote control devices that let you control key camera functions from a distance, even if there are obstacles between yourself and the D5200. Operations such as autofocusing, movie recording, continuous shooting, and quiet release mode, is possible.
