The GR equipped with a newly developed 16.0 megapixels APS-C-size CMOS image sensor boasts beautiful, high-resolution images. The GR provides a high-speed autofocus system that can focus on the subject in a mere 0.2 seconds. With its start-up time of approximately one second, the GR responds quickly and flawlessly even to fleeting shutter opportunities.
GR camera's 4 fps Continuous Shooting function allowing the photographer to capture a fast-moving subjects, such as athletes and wildlife, in sharp focus.
The Full HD movie recording function captures high-quality 1080p Full HD video with efficient, high quality h.264 compression at 30 fps. Continuous Autofocus remains active with movement as the camera stays focused on moving subjects in the center of its angle of view.
The Image Effect modes allow the user to add a variety of visual effects to create distinctive expressions without the need for a computer. The direct-access Effect button positioned on the GR camera's side panel makes selection of one of the nine image effects easy.
