Q: How to disable the built-in GPS function in Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX100V digital camera?

A: Sony DSC-HX100V built-in GPS and direction sensor acquire the information on location or the shooting direction, and record on images, you can import photos and movies to a computer to view their shooting location info.

If you don't want DSC-HX100V record location and direction information to photos or movies, follow these steps to set up:

MENU (Settings) (Main Settings) [GPS setting] (Change to "Off")

Now, the DSC-HX100V GPS function inactivated.

    • Press “Burst Setting" on the control button (left side of the 4-way button on camera rear panel), and select "Single", now the hx-100v shoots a single photo.
